Managers’ Mindsets – Mental Wellness Conversations

  • Location: Online
  • Type: Workshop
  • Date: 20/11/2024
  • Time: 9:30am-12pm

As managers, we’re navigating through an ever-evolving landscape where addressing mental wellness in the workplace is becoming increasingly crucial. But let’s be honest, even with all our managerial skills, having conversations about mental wellness isn’t always easy or comfortable.

This practical workshop offers new and experienced managers an opportunity to dedicate time to enhancing awareness and learn about the signs and symptoms of when someone might need support. We’ll develop skills and tools in navigating conversations about mental wellness with our team members more effectively and explore strategies for self-care while supporting our teams.

By refining these skills, expanding our knowledge base, and connecting with others, we’re not just benefiting our teams and promoting healthier work environments – we’re also taking positive steps towards advancing our own mental wellness.

Together, in this practical session, we will:

  1. Learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of when a team member may need support.
  2. Develop realistic and practical skills for initiating and navigating mental health conversations with team members.
  3. Learn about the barriers which can hinder discussions about mental health
  4. Understand how leading with openness fosters a supportive team culture
  5. Prioritise self-care for managers, understanding the important of setting boundaries and learn practical strategies to support our own mental wellness
