We are all devastated by the news of Guy’s tragic death at the weekend.
NABS Scotland would not exist without him – in a conversation with John Bartle, Giles Brookbank (first NABS Scotland Chair) and Kate Harris at the President’s Reception at the IPA, when Guy was Chairman of IPA Scotland, he suggested the idea. From then on, our work in Scotland has gone from strength to strength, with endless support from Guy.
He was the first to sign up to every event and he always made the effort to come all the way from the West Coast to the East for our Annual Music Quiz. Every year you could guarantee that Guy would be seen taking part (very energetically) in our “dance off” on the tables.
Guy also played a huge part in the success of the Scottish Advertising Golf Day, raising thousands for NABS and was a true Ambassador for all the work that we do.
We shall miss him. To quote our NABS Scotland Chairman, Mark Gorman “he was magic”.
