About timeTo

timeTo is a unique collaboration between the Advertising Association, NABS and WACL, working to eradicate sexual harassment in the advertising, media and marketing industry, and is backed by ISBA and the IPA.

In 2018, in the wake of the #MeToo movement, our first project was to undertake a major survey of over 3,500 people within our industry to understand the level and nature of sexual harassment in the industry. We were shocked by what we unearthed, and the findings prompted us to develop a Code of Conductfor industry companies to endorse as part of their commitment to working towards making their organisations safer, informed our subsequent campaign work and our Sexual Harassment Awareness training product.

During the pandemic in 2020, we undertook another major survey of over 1,200 people to understand the level and nature of sexual harassment following a radical change in the way we were working. We used these findings to produce an addendum to the Code of Conduct and importantly, updated our Sexual Harassment Awareness training product to reflect these new insights on how sexual harassment was occurring virtually and how it was affecting different marginalised groups disproportionately
.

Harassment in all forms has a serious and lasting impact on people’s lives. We believe it’s our collective duty to protect our people, our friends, our colleagues and our team members, ensuring that everyone is physically, psychologically and emotionally safe whether they work from home, from the office or – as will be the case for most of us in the future – in a combination of the two.

For anyone affected by sexual harassment, whether that be the person who has been harassed, has witnessed harassment or been accused of harassment, they can independently receive impartial guidance and support from NABS’ Advice Line.

All profits from timeTo’s trading activity such as our training, goes back into NABS, the charity to further support timeTo’s mission of eradicating sexual harassment for good.
