Two NABS Trustees honoured
Two NABS Trustees have been awarded OBEs for their contributions to public life in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2023.
Simon Daglish, chair of the NABS Board of Trustees, and Judith Salinson, Trustee, have been recognised for their outstanding work with communities inside and outside of the advertising industry.
Simon, who is deputy managing director, commercial ITV, has been on the NABS Board since 2012 and its Chair since 2016. Recognised on the King’s Honours List for charitable services, he co-founded the charity Walking With the Wounded and has raised £15m for various charities including Tommy’s. A senior figure in the advertising industry, Simon has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry as well as devoting his time to charitable causes.
Judith enjoyed an illustrious career in advertising, notably as an entrepreneur who changed the face of out-of-home advertising, especially at a time when the industry was overwhelmingly male-dominated. Judith was president of WACL and a founding member and lead judge of the WACL Talent Awards, the awards scheme for women in the industry co-run with NABS. Judith has been on the NABS Board since 2001.
Sue Todd, CEO, NABS, says:
“Simon and Judith have contributed to so much to our industry and to NABS’ mission, giving up their time to help advance the mental wellness of everybody working in advertising, marketing and media. Their OBEs are well-deserved and we are all delighted for them.”
Congratulations, Simon and Judith.
