Sue Todd named as NABS’ new CEO
Sue Todd has been appointed as the new CEO of NABS, the support organisation for the advertising and media industry.
Sue joins from Magnetic Media, where she joined as CEO in 2015.
Simon Daglish, chairman of NABS and deputy MD of commercial, ITV plc, said: “We are delighted that Sue is joining NABS as our new CEO. She has all the drive, skills and passion necessary to build on all that NABS has achieved in supporting the wellbeing of our industry, as well as to lead the organisation through its next ambitious phase.”
Sue will take over in April from current CEO Diana Tickell. Diana is stepping back from full-time work and will continue to support industry causes on a mainly voluntary portfolio basis, as well as spending time travelling with her husband.
Sue said: “I’m thrilled to be joining NABS after seven fantastic years running Magnetic. The past few years have been incredibly challenging and NABS, under Diana’s leadership, has been a critical source of support, advice and expertise for people across the advertising and media industry. It’s a privilege to be asked to lead an organisation that exists to help people, businesses and our industry to thrive.”
Sue is a non-executive director of the Big Issue and PAMCo Ltd. Her previous roles include marketing director at CBS Outdoor (now part of Global Outdoor) and marketing director and people and culture director, Emap Advertising (now Bauer).
Sue was also co-owner and partner at Wonder, a consultancy designed to help businesses develop their cultures and realise their peoples’ potential. She worked with many clients in the advertising space, including Channel 4, MEC (now Wavemaker) and Ocean Outdoor, giving her a key insight into people and culture across the industry.
