Through the years, the Cursitor Christmas Lunch has raised significant sums for charity, especially NABS, whose work champions the mental wellness and resilience that underpin the culture we value: looking out for one another as much as we celebrate together.
What would the industry be like without NABS? And why?
Without NABS, the industry would feel colder, more fragmented, and far less human. The pressures of our business can be intense, and without a trusted, impartial place for people to turn, many would struggle in silence. NABS provides the emotional scaffolding that holds our community together offering guidance, empathy, and practical support when it’s most needed. Without that safety net, we’d lose not just individual talent but also the shared sense of care and solidarity that keeps this industry creative, resilient, and connected.
Why is it so important for NABS to tackle mental wellness in the industry?
It’s vital for NABS to tackle mental wellness because the advertising and media industry is high-pressure, fast-paced, and often unpredictable. Stress, burnout, and isolation are common, yet they can be invisible until it’s too late.
