NABS is here to support you through grief and loss
Grief is so much more than just feeling sad – it’s a deep longing for someone or something that feels just out of reach.
Over time, we find ways to reshape our connection with what we’ve lost, which is an important part of the healing process.
Grief is something we all face at different points in our lives, but it affects each of us in unique ways. Depending on the significance of the loss, it can change how we see and experience life itself.
Grief really is that feeling that you have, the sort of intensity that just overwhelms you, and that sort of momentary experience.
Grieving, on the other hand, is the way that grief changes over time without ever actually going away.

Connect: Making Sense of Grief
Online | WorkshopIn this supportive session, we’ll come together to explore what grief looks like, feels like, and how we can live with it—whether you’re grieving yourself or supporting someone who is.
Why grief support matters
Grief touches us all. In the past five years alone, nearly 40 million adults in the UK have lost someone close to them.
For many, grief is unexpected. 43% of bereavements in the past five years were sudden, leaving loved ones unprepared.
Grief shouldn’t be the elephant in the room. 58% of people say they struggle to talk about bereavement.
Sometimes, the smallest gestures mean the most. Nearly half of grieving individuals say they found comfort when someone simply asked, “Are you okay?”
