Lace up your boots and hike with us in the beautiful Pentlands.
On 26 June, we’re heading into the Pentlands (south west of Edinburgh) for some fresh air, incredible views and great chat.
Our friends at MiQ and Acast have organised and sponsored this hike for our media community, so we can all get outdoors together.

What can you expect?
The route: a loop (West Kip, East Kip, Scald Law) from Threipmuir Reservoir. It’s a great circuit on the north side of the Pentlands which should provide amazing views as we will be summiting the highest point of the range, Scald Law.
The terrain: nearly all clear hill paths. There are some rough sections with exposed ground and relatively steep short ascents and descents across the 3 peaks – however, it’s a walk manageable for all levels and abilities.
Distance/time: 12km with around 500m ascent. Estimated time with regular stops is approx 3.5 hours.
Kit: comfy trainers or boots you’re used to walking in, a waterproof, sun cream and some hydration/snacks.
