Hussain Manawer

Poet and mental health campaigner.

Having gone through severe depression himself and publicly showcasing the stages of grief after his mother passed online, this organically built an online community of thousands of followers from all walks of life who were experiencing similar things.

Hussain uses poetry as a form of self expression, therapy and a tool to demolish the stigma surrounding mental health. He has been described by Good Morning Britain as ‘the voice of a generation’ and The Grammy’s hail him as ‘one of today’s dopest poets’.

In 2017 Hussain set the Guinness World Record for ‘The World’s Largest Mental Health Lesson’ and shortly after received an honorary fellowship from the prestigious King’s College London and more recently became an Doctorate of the arts from Oxford Brooke’s University.

Supporters of Hussain’s poetry include HRH Meghan Markle, Sir Richard Branson, Nobel Peace Prize Malala, Oscar winning actress Cher and US comedian Kevin Hart.
