Summary of Role

What we’d like to see:

We are looking for someone who can create powerful stories about the role of OOH in the media mix, and about OOH audiences and how to optimally engage with them, emphasising Kinetic’s differentiated market position, and reinforcing its commercial credentials.

Provide senior Activation and Client Development team with strategic insight when required e.g. campaign solutions and new business pitches.

Curate Kinetic’s consumer insight resources to create an authoritative, consumer-centric view of OOH audiences that feeds into planning solutions, sales, new business and marcomms activity.


Develops an in-depth understanding of consumer behaviour outdoors using all insight available to create a source-neutral, consumer-centric view of OOH audiences that feeds into planning solutions, sales activity, new business, and marketing communications activity

Forges strong ties with client, agency and media-owner research and planning leads.

Works closely with the Head of Planning Activation and Client Development and the wider Activation and Business Development team to ensure that all planning and insight activities are aligned with objectives

Crafts engaging and inspiring presentations that demonstrate Kinetic’s position as a thought leader in OOH and more broadly the marketing/media sector

Ensures presentations are of a high quality visually and with a clear compelling script that can be given to the Client Development unit and Activation leads to present externally

Works with Activation leads to shape OOH education sessions for clients and agencies

Assists the Client Development unit in shaping the strategy and big idea for OOH new business pitches

Work with Activation leads on OOH communication planning on Gold Star clients that require more strategic thought and integration with other media channels

Keeps Kinetic staff updated on critical market news affecting other media channels and how this relates to OOH

Creates Kinetic creds decks and collateral (e.g. boards, showreels etc.)

Creates quarterly and end of year decks

Identifies, coordinates, writes and produces case studies for use by the Activation team and Marketing

A collaborative mindset with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, internally and externally

Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Engaging speaker who is comfortable presenting to large groups

Highly organised completer/finisher; self-motivated, deadline driven and outcome orientated

Excellent project management skills

A good understanding of media, OOH and industry trends and keen interest in future developments in OOH

A commercial outlook with the ability to link research findings to positive commercial outcomes

Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research techniques

Numerate and highly analytical with the ability to use a broad range of analytical approaches and techniques

A background in planning, research, trade marketing with a successful track record

Effective and experienced manager


Graduate, minimum 2:1

MRS qualified

Good understanding and use of MS Office /Windows – Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Advanced user of standard industry analytics tools – Telmar, Touchpoints Channel Planner etc.
